First of all, it's not complete but I don't have plans for any update any time soon (or ever), so I'm releasing what I have already.
With that said...

ABOUT

This mod aims to provide a replacement for the original lower definition sprites and textures while retaining the artistic style of the original game.

It can be used with Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, both Mission Packs and a few supported mods (like the Second Encounter addon).
It can also be used with any ECWolf compatible mod that doesn't change the default graphics too much.

More details on the "readme" file.

Supported games:
- Wolfenstein 3D (including the shareware / a.k.a. demo)
- Spear of Destiny
- Mission Pack 1: Return To Danger
- Mission Pack 2: Ultimate Challenge

Partially Supported Mods:
- Coffe Break
- Executor's Mission Pack ("wolfenstein missions")
- Second Encounter
- Wolfenstein Intensifies
- Probably a couple more I forgot (too long since I last edited the addon)

OBS: I forgot to include some of these in the batch so you'll have to manually edit it if you decide to download all the mods.

Changelog:
- New pistol sprite
- Added muzzle reflection on MP40
- Added "hot barrel tip" on Chaingun and expanded its muzzleflash
- New (optional) sound effects on a separated SFX file for all weapons.

Well, the first episode is free (better than nothing, hehe).
Future updates will bring double resolution textures and world objects (including for the mission packs).

Ooh nice! Is this your spritework or are they from some console port? I've seen some of these assets in Wolf3dge I think.

The knife, submachinegun, chaingun and rocket launcher was provided by osjclatchford, although I modified all of them (except the knife). The pistol I heavly modified based on the Jaguar version and the flamethrower was also made by me, although I got the Idea to expand it from a different thread by DenisBelmondo.
Some sprites may look similar because they have similar origins (part of the chaingun was originally from FreeDoom and the MP40 was based on the one from Rise of The Triad, for example).

There's already HD textures and sprites for Wolf3D and Sod (also used in many mods like the 3DGE one) because of the Mac-family ports, but what is taking me the longer now is making HD equivalents for the lost episodes that I want to "ship" together for the next version, since there was no mission pack for the Mac and therefore no HD assets. (I particularly don't like the lost episodes gimmicky and extremely labiryntic maps, the worst case being Return To Danger's MAP08, but there are a few good textures in it that I may use for future mods).

From the screenshots they look very good, although I am worried if they cover the middle of the screen too much when firing. I am playing around with a Doom engine Wolf3d mod. Can I use these assets?

I made sure it covered more or less the same area as the original, maybe except the flamethrower (the side by side comparison I posted showed that) so it's iD fault, not mine. :p
Feel free to use the assets. You can find the original sheet here or extract the modified ones in my mod with Slade 3 or just a good zip manager.

For now just a few (current version 1.1 only has new sounds for the knife, pistol, chaingun and rocket launcher - including the one used by a few level bosses).

This is great, except I can't change weapons if I add them all via TAB+I in debug mode. I get stuck on the Chaingun.

Huh, strange, I couldn't replicate this bug myself. There should be no problem happening because I did not create any new actor (for now), only changed the graphics. Did you use another mod with it?

How can I get the extra weapons to show up on the windows ECWolf port? What other wads do I need to have the 2'nd encounter? Are the other 2 weapons only for Mac?

Looooong time since last update.
I decided to release what I have already because I don't know If I'll ever get beck to finishin the project (not much motivation left, real life stuff going on, etc)

Updated the post with new details and screenshots.
