Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
I created a separate theme for my works, because in “Custom Texture Thread” you can only place textures, but I also do sprites, well, recently I really want to draw, and since I can interfere with someone theme, then let all my works be plased in this topic.
Well, if you really like my work (I am only a beginner in this field so far), then you can find all my materials here, instead of flipping through "Custom Texture Thread".
The license for all my work is Creative Commons Zero. Use them in your projects!

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
Well, this is my first textures - so-called Free Final Doom titlepic, some demonic tech, marble & blood-stone textures and liquids (Bonus - 1 texture for dirt). Also, another archive with sprites of keys (all colors and all kinds), fists and shotgun (Bonus - Map Viewer).
As a result - 18 textures, 18 sprites + titlepic = 37 graphic resources. Everything was done in GIMP, as the source images I used the ornaments generated online, for some (Demon Marble & Blood Stone) - free pictures of organs with PixaBay.
I’ll say right away the parameters of my resources - they are converted to PNG with the FreeDoom palette, and basically they have a size of 128x128 (as an exception - sprites and titlepic)

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
I made completely new sprites for Pistol, using Baikal`s MP-654K as a basis, which I shot on the camera and edited in the GIMP. I also made ammo for pistol and shotgun (large and small).

Re: [Sprites, Textures] Bratish`s Gallery Grotto
Hey, Bratish. These are very nice.
Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
I am currently working on a HUD Face for my TC for Doom 1. Six frames are currently ready.
I did this on the basis of my own art, redid it from profile to full face (you can see them by downloading the archive in the attachments).

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
Quick update - I smoothed out roughness in the hair and chin area, and also added frames of the first degree wound and a frame of death (without blood). Now 11 frames out of 42 are ready ...

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
I make a font for my Total Conversion. I use "a_AlgeriusCapsNr Regular", on which I applied some effects from InkScape, and, after adjusting the contrast, I publish it here as a single .png file. Then I convert them into separate frames for the game, and, due to the lower resolution, I have to conjoin with contrast.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
In my Total Conversion there will be a knife but of fists. To do this, I took a regular kitchen knife in my right hand and photographed the whole thing on camera. I had to conjure a little with the relief, so that the metal looked more clearly and was not a gray silhouette. Only four sprites, like the original fists. Position of all sprites is only on the right.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
This time I lay out whole 10 spites. I fixed the tech-keys, added a second frame for them and made completely new first-aid kits. Now, instead of a blue bottle, there will be a flask of spirt, and both first-aid kits - boxes with these same flasks. As a bonus, I provide a redrawn shotgun`s pickup sprite

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
Wow, finally I made The Minigun!
To do this, I used Tristar`s Tripod TV-1935 (it’s very unusual, right?), which I held in one hand and shot with the other (and this is a heavy thing, eh), and after that I edited the resulting photos in GIMP. For the fire effect, I applied the "Random Choice" filter so that it does not look like a smooth outline. I also did a pick-up of this.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
So, I made another weapon... This is Missile Launcher.
In fact, it`s collage of several shots, because not all the details in reality look the way I wanted.
For example, I had to photograph the flashlight separately (turned by the lamp towards the camera), then separately photograph the hand, and already in the editor change the sizes and lay everything on top of each other.
I made fire with in a hurry, and because it is so shitty.
The rocket, by the way, was painted by me from scratch in the GIMP, and I put it on the sprite of the weapon in order to slightly diversify its lower part.
The peak-up sprite is nothing more than two different flashlights, which I combined into one sprite, having previously adjusted them to the same size.
Personally, the result reminds me very much of Quake 3 Arena, only the silver trunk and the red butt are not enough to complete this similarity.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
So, you won’t believe it, but... I started work on the bestiary!
My Total Conversion draws inspiration from Silent Hill, which means that the monsters in it will look like mutilated people, instead of specific demons.
And this handsome dude is my idea about what would happen if we combined the style of Silent Hill and Doom. The result is as follows I drew it by hand, then photographed it (my scanner is broken) and, having connected parts of the body (except for the dorsal horns, as I haven’t make the animation yet), I colorized it and made it relief. You can look at the original art - there is a torso, a leg, horns, hands and a mouth on it, and all this is in one position, since my idea is a twin boss.
I called it “Caimurbel”, which is an abbreviation of “CAIn`s MURder of aBEL”, because in the story it is the “hellish” incarnation of two brothers, one of whom killed the other for nothing, but when he died, his soul was reunited with the soul brother, and in the end, in front of the main character, he appears in this guise.
He will replace CyberDemon. Since he is a Siamese twin, he will shoot from both “cannons” (in turn), and if possible not missiles, but with blood clots (here you will have to say goodbye to Chocolate Doom forever), and after death a double soul will fly out of his giblets (and this will already be a reference to the Heretic).
I don’t think I can handle the animation, but I can do one frame for each rotation in the near days.

Spoiler:I was inspired by cyberdemon from all parts of Doom (for example, the color from the classic and the legs from the 2016 version), Sabot from D3 and the “Twin Victim” from Silent Hill 4.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
Oh my god, here I didn’t even believe my eyes, although I did everything with my own hands!
Looking through a generally crude sprite for "Caimurbel", I drew attention to the symmetrical pattern in the form of a skull and ribs on his stomach, and cut out this case, slightly warping and increasing the resolution. Seeing this, I exclaimed “Whoa, it`s is Unmaker!”, And, even more bending and experimenting with contrast and relief, I got this I do not believe that I was able to create SUCH... I think of me the second Adrian Carmack will be...
I think that this will have to replace the BFG-9000, since I do not want to introduce new things into my Total Conversion, I only want to change the old ones.
Plasma Balls, apparently, will have to be replaced by fire, as well as made plasmagun in the same style. But I'm still in shock, honestly...
P.S. By the way, it seems to me, or is the top of the weapon similar to "Icon of Sin"? If anything, I didn't take he sprite as a basis, I just cut it all out of my sprite

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
It was not at all difficult to make a full-fledged BFG from the previous sprite, given the fact that, it turns out, my sprite did not fit into the original one completely, and it had to be shredded and moved a bit, but in the end it, I think, will still not fit into screen, if you play with the classic HUD (which I, of course, will also redraw, but not now).
So, to shoot this weapon will not be plasma, but blood. Yes, blood! They did not expect? That's just it will not be called "bloodthrower" - such a name I will give plasmagun when my hands reach it. I don’t know what to call it.
Alas, there is no pickup sprite and the shells themselves, but in the archive I put two ammunition sprites - small and large, respectively. I also redid the knife, because of which I had to shoot it with a flashlight that illuminated my hand at the back of the camera and cut it all out and convert it to sprites with the Doom palette.

Re: Bratish`s Graphic Grotto
As I have recently, I again made another thing out of one thing.
This time, the matter again concerns that piece of texture from the abdomen of "Caimurbel". I cut a face-like middle from the finished Demonic BFG, and after editing it a bit, I got this I immediately thought it would be nice for a monster boss, but I can’t figure out for what. After all, I want all bosses to have human faces, but this is completely demonic! And so, given the fact that I don’t have much with monster sprites yet, I made the faces “MARBFACE” out of it, although I’m not sure that it will be used for Icon of Sin (which is simply impossible because my Total Conversion is for Doom 1!)
