Deluge: Onset is an upcoming total conversion mod demo for GZDoom containing six maps and many new gameplay elements like time magic, climbing, prop movement, telekinesis, adjustable AI and more. Players must use their agility, firepower and sorcery to survive against a hostile ecosystem of flesh monsters.

Mapping progress. In other news the stealth system is being addressed and new prop sprites are in the works. We're still looking for a particle effects expert and HUD/UI designer.

It looks like a genuinely nasty place to be (and I mean that in a good way). I can almost smell the grease steel and blood in the industrial-looking areas and the hellish stuff really does look like the disorientating unpleasant stuff of nightmares.

I love seeing completely original stuff created in the GZDoom engine - and this looks very promising! I was going to offer to make some music for this, but it looks like you've already got that sorted out. :P

Update 02

Postby Chief Smokey » Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:39 pm

Mapping is mostly finished now and the current build is technically fully playable, meanwhile the stealth system is reaching its final stages. Next major jobs after current work involves the magic system and implementing three new NPC types.

The Return

Postby Chief Smokey » Fri Aug 14, 2020 1:03 pm

In spite of the lack of activity on this page, this mod is still very much alive. To prove it here's two compilation videos of what's been done so far.

It'll be a while before the next big update news but stay tuned and eventually this will be seen through to the end.
