After looking back at the old version of Heretic++ I have decided to start from scratch, a complete and total re-write of everything.

There was another mod called Heretic Enhanced. But now it is abandoned. But the author released beta 2 before he abandoned it. Maybe you could use Heretic Enhanced as a base for what you want to create.

I heard about Heretic Enhanced, I think it was made by Kinsie. I'd rather not use someone else's work as a base, and I can pretty much handle what needs to be done.

I'd love to do a Strife++, but not right now.

Also here's a little sneak preview of what's currently done:
•Flare effects for Fire scenery (Wall torches, Braziers etc.)
•Weapon effects (Particles, trails, etc.)
•Destructible Scenery (Hanging Skulls, Chandeliers etc.)
•New TeleGlitter actors.
•A new Pod type, Multiplier Pods. They're Smaller, regen faster, and spawn an extra pod summoning up to 16 pods from one!
•Take wall torches from the walls to light your way!
•And much, much more

hey now, what about HeXen?

i just thought about playing HeXen RPG (or Heresy X if it becomes a reality) combined with a fancy HeXen++ and my face went :shock:

Sorry for the double post but I got a small update for you guys and gals :D

Alright, I got feedback from most of the testers and I've put a lot of it to work and right now I've done this so far:
•Decreased Multiplier Pod's regenerating time.
•Added physics to the falling chandeliers (Fall faster the further they fall)
•Lowered the volume of the Brazier's fire crackling sound
•Increased translucency of the particles.

Triple Post + Bump. Yeah, but I have a major update considering I could not find the project thread and this project was overlooked by a lot of ZDOOMers.

ChangeLog

○Torches no longer pick-upable
○Using the Tome Of Power or the Wings of Wrath produces coloured "power on" flares.
○New ice texture (Blue ice looked weird)
○Removed the new pods, Kinda sucked, and they were buggy as hell (broke "podgenerators" and also you could get stuck)
○Added the new "MikkGore" gore FX
○Fixed the "Braziers-on-Lowering-Platforms" bug
○Changed the fire FX on Wall Torches, Serpent Torches and Braziers
○Reduced amount of effects spawned on the "TeleGlitterGenerators"
○Undead Knight's red axes spin, looking a lot better.
○Added FX for the WereDragon, D'Sparil (Mounted and Dismounted) and the Maulotaur.
○Fixed a small KeyConf error (Gauntlets and Staff were the wrong way 'round)
○Instead of water warping, it is now animated and
And Lots, Lots more!
