Port Zdoom on xbox

Post by MetalPapat »

It's just an idea maybe it's bad but the port of zdoom in xbox i am sure is gonna be the best port of doom ever with a mod selection and lot of thing like the current version of zdoom . The port of doom legacy is cool but it's not zdoom

This probably isn't going to happen, for the same reason that "Port ZDoom to my PSP!" isn't going to happen either. Too much effort, and for what gain? One or two people can play ZDoom on their home console system.

If you really want to play ZDoom on your XBox, the next best thing is to hook up your computer to a TV via S-Video and buy one of those Super Joybox USB adapters - some of them allow you to connect XBox controllers to your PC. I'd imagine that's as good as it's going to get.

Firstly, get Linux on your XBox from XBox-Linux.

Then, get the Linux version of ZDoom onto your XBox and play.

Judging from what they say on their wiki, it works very well as long as you don't mind forsaking the MS Live stuff forever or even not being able to play XBox games again, depending on the method you use.

So I figure it's quite suboptimal as far as the OP is concerned. :p

Lol if that tutorial says you won't be able to use xbox live again or xbox games, it's horribly outdated :P It's possible to set your xbox to boot to games or linux when you start it up.

Yeah, and it's even possible without a mod chip.
You can basically set it to mount a virtual C drive with pristine data files when it loads the MS Dash, so that Xbox Live can't tell the difference.
Hurray, Ndure.
