How do I play ECWolf mods? (With PK.3 Files?)

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

How do I play ECWolf mods? (With PK.3 Files?)

Postby Graaicko » Thu Sep 24, 2020 5:38 pm

So this is the third attempt I have tried to get ECWolf working with mods. I already set up ECWolf by replacing the dosbox.exe with it. But I am trying to play pk3 mods with it, and they just don't work. I simply don't know how to make them work with ECWolf.

Try a clean install of ECWOLF in a separate folder, not replacing any of the Steam files.

If that doesn't work, you will need to tell us in detail exactly what you're trying to do, and what is telling you that it doesn't work.

Ialready tried that. I am trying to simply load the .pk3 mod file with ECWolf. I have no idea how to load it. I tried dragging it on the ECWolf.exe and the replaced dosbox.exe...

I had the same problem, make sure you are downloading the version that goes with your PC's architecture. Check if it's 64 bits or 32 bits (x86 is the same as 32 bits).

Here is a site that has the latest versions divided by architecture: https://devbuilds.drdteam.org/ecwolf/

x86 - means is for systems that have an architecture of 32 bits.
x64 - means is for systems that have an architecture of 64 bits.

Download the version you need and unzip on any folder you want as ECWolf is designed to automatically recognize an installation of Wolfenstein 3D but if you are using Steam i reccomend replacing "dosbox.exe".
