This was a silly wad, but some areas were lame, and I found nothing funny enough to make me laugh. With all the hype around this, I thought I might get a kick out of it. Kinda glad I didn't, as this means when I decide to someday do a jokewad which I'll find funny, it will be in another league ...

I didn't read the whole thread but is this inspired by the South Park episode "Night of the Living Homeless?"

You have windows? If so, drag and drop the wad file onto the executable.

There are no Doom wads I'd play with one of those.

Seems like it could be an interesting twist on a monster summoner. But why do you contradict yourself so?

And why do you call it a poke ball? Is it supposed to poke monsters?

It was fun setting up legions of marines to take on a boss monster. Now if only we had a summonteama and summonteamb command for easy team arena battles to enjoy and bet against.

EDIT: At least until Hate Arena comes out and lets people stage fights with a flick of the wrist.

Well, I can't prove it without actually trying (which I can't do now) but from looking at the picture, the mountain texture contains no colors similar enough to cyan for the wand to include it. You have to make sure the tolerance is set either to 0 or 100 depending on whether you select the cyan or ...

I can't see how it takes that long at all. In photoshop, it could be done the way I suggested in five minutes.

Yeah, I had forgotten the cyan was actually part of the image. In that case, the quickest way may be to separate the mountain texture from the cyan with the magic wand (if you're using photoshop) and designate it as a new layer, then you can alter it without altering the cyan. Or Mike's suggestion ...

Not if you just blur the edges. Zoom in on the texture and use the blur tool that's only 3 pixels wide. If it's against the black montain texture background, it shouldn't be noticeable. Then just blur the black mountain texture.

And keep the blur tool on a low strength percentage.

If you have photoshop or a similar program, you can use the blur tool to "depixelate" the edges of the mountains.
