Re: Brutal Doom v0.19 Final Test Modified (Updated 27 oct 20
That doesn't make any sense, why would he remove the taunts and use the old weapon sprites at all, why have them as mutators? The new sprites are visually much nicer, and don't take up any more or less screen space than the old ones, and then the taunts... It's not like you have to use them if they ...

Re: Is the community out of ideas and motivation?
Sometimes I think it boils down to time and money....maybe even lack of help. Add those three together and it is a great recipe to lose motivation. Maybe people forget that this is a hobby and they expect way more from the author than they should- as if the author is being compensated for producing ...

Re: Is there oxygen in Doom-hell?
I read in this big ol' fan-made encyclopedia of all things Doom that health bonuses are made by just taking a soulsphere, sitting it in a pool of nice clean water, and letting the power of the soulsphere infuse the water with a little bit of its healing power. Bottle it up, and distribute it to ...

Re: Is there oxygen in Doom-hell?
Hell no, why would they be filled with water. actually, now that i wonder...WTF is in the health packs and berserk packs? IIRC, the berserker pack has been explained as some sort of safe, non-addictive, steroid-like substance that gets one's adrenaline going. As for the health bonuses... The blood ...

Re: What are Your Least Favorite Doom and Doom 2 maps, and w
Plutonia's Chase. I'm seriously afraid of Arch-Viles and I'm not too fond of mazes either since I saw The Shining. You talkin about Map 11 of plutonia doom? The map is named Hunted, not Chase. But i agree with you on that map. Archviles + Mazes = Lots of crying and rage. especially the crying ...

Map 30: Final boss is just a wall...really? I wasn't around in 1994, but didn't people have a better imagination than A WALL AS A BOSS??? To be fair, that's probably the only way they could've given the monster a weak spot given the infinitum actor heights in Vanilla Doom. Eh...you have a point...

Re: Is there oxygen in Doom-hell?
Well, considering how theres fire in Hell...I'd say yes. Cause logic says that Oxygen is required to start fires.
