Re: Guncaster Vindicated [Beta]
Just tried this, and damn is this MOD hard... My only real gripe with this so far is I think the zombies need their damage toned down a bit, they tear me up more than the bigger enemies do, and there's so many of them. Well, if that's what you were going for then I'd say they're not fragile enough ...

Re: Guncaster Vindicated [Beta]
I find the "hitscanners" a bit too strong though... Slowing down their tracer projectiles might be a good idea. I may do that, however any reduction in difficulty on these guys will be very very minor. The human enemies are supposed to be very threatening with their guns because they are fragile ...

Re: Guncaster Vindicated [Beta]
I've been playing it for a few hours and I'm really enjoying it! I love Guncaster but hate how easy it is, anything that makes it harder is welcome for me. I think I've played most of the mods that make it harder (Project Brutality Guncaster or DoomKraken's Monster Randomizer) but I always got bored ...

Where can I find the compatibility patch for Guncaster to work with Colourful Hell 0.90? Or at least 0.89

Re: Memoirs of Magic
At first glance I dismissed this as just another MSPaint mod aiming to be cute but then I saw the videos and WOW! It looks amazing with its own unique art style and maps that fit it really well, and the gameplay seems incredibly fun! I can't wait to play it!

Re: [1.5] WMD - Wad Manager for Doom
This is fantastic! It's got all the features that were still missing from current launchers, some years ago I started trying to make something like this but eventually got lazy  I'm glad someone did this I've got 2 problems so far though: 1) Since the config files are placed in different ...

Re: Nocturne in Yellow (& Knuckles)
Can I use Gzdoom to play this without any problems? And if so, does it matter which iwad I choose?

Re: [BETA for Heretic] Chaos, Uprising
The problems with "Stretch Status Bar" seems to be that it forces it to use it's original size, ignoring the texture scale. Also it should be noted that the HUD gets messed up at lower resolutuins. But is it fixable? Because I've seen a lot of mods that suffer from the same problem and a lot of ...

Re: [BETA for Heretic] Chaos, Uprising
I enjoyed it a lot, great work! It's good to see that mods for non-doom games with the idTech1 engine are getting more common. The Iron Arbalest looks and feels awesome, loving it. As for the firearms, personally I hate to see guns in heretic, I don't think they really fit, but I've gotta say that ...

Re: WADs/Mods you consider "must-play"
I think in any given year, there have been far more non-ZDoom maps than ZDoom maps released, so there's a larger pool of them to select from. But to make up for that, mods that use a lot of advanced zdoom features can be a lot harder to make so I wonder if that is properly taken into account for ...

Re: Lasting Light V4 - The Stalker Seeks Your Blood!
When you're scared and your senses are limited by the darkness around you, your first instinct is to be alert and look around as much as possible... The Screecher denies you that, and that's what makes this mod so brilliant and scary! Seriously, try this mod guys. Anyway, having played this mod more ...

Re: WADs/Mods you consider "must-play"
So, I haven't played that much wads, and Doomworld Cacowards are usually prefer vanilla/boom compatible stuff over port-specific. ZDoom has gotten [wiki=Category:Cacoward_winners]a fair amount of Cacowards winners[/wiki] and [wiki=Category:Cacoward_runners-up]runners-up[/wiki]. Quickly scanning ...

Re: Lasting Light V4 - The Stalker Seeks Your Blood!
Also, don't you think it would be awesome if this worked with heretic/hexen? I think the maps would fit the the mod very well! Funny you should say that, because in a similar vein, I made something a while back that I never got around to advertising here... Lasting Light: Chex Quest 3 As the name ...

Re: WADs/Mods you consider "must-play"
Some great suggestions here, helped me out as well and I have a bunch of mods to try out now :) Someone said Satanic Redux, so I'd like to second that, it's really worth a try. And if you're gonna try Brutal Doom, then I recommend Brutal Doom SE, it has a lot of fixes and enhancements while still ...
