Installing on CentOS 7
Attempting to swap over to CentOS 7 and retain my ability to use any of the ZDoom branches, but things aren't working out too well. I've tried three routes so far, hopefully one of them will have an easy fix? I've tried multiple branches, but since base ZDoom seemed to have the simplest of errors ...

Because it doesn't have that wind-up time the Chaingun has, which is crippling in common battles since unless you're going up against hordes, you don't want to just keep firing continuously; and that since it's firing at a faster rate, chances are you're gonna be wasting more bullets into the wall ...

The Chaingun is balanced out by the fact that it's a *huge* ammo hog. While it's true it can output huge amounts of bullets really fast, chances are if you actually need to use the Chaingun for something, you're gonna be out of bullets for a while. And, from my experience at least, maps heavily ...

Also, nobody would notice since I don't think anybody even still plays this mod, as noted by people who repeatedly requested bugfixes/changes never even reacting to those changes being added after much fiddling. Hell, a "thank you" would be nice... Normally don't think to say things much on this ...

I just pulled up the mod to see how big the Spidie was, I never realized it was that huge. A seems like a decent way of dealing with it, though I'm not sure how small you want to get it, so for all I know the end result would make it the size of an Arachnotron which just creates more issues. Well this is cool, what it lacks in balance it makes up for in being interesting/amusing. I'd love to see some dedicated stuff to flesh out the mod, I'd be curious to see how that goes. I'd like to +1 the turn timer thing, but you said you're gonna overhaul the turn so I doubt it's gonna be needed ...

Really? Huh. I would have thought that the base name would have been the default one to show up. I figured that the fact that they showed up as Former Human meant that he added a check to display as that. So does that mean that you integrated that database into Monster Scouter?

I kinda blew this off originally cause I was using Monster Scouter, but this is growing to be much more comprehensive than I thought It'd be. Given that most people here seem to be arguing that the platforming is a pain, I'll poke my opinion in since it goes the other way. The platforming in this has been great so far, it's certainly not easy, but nothing too ridiculous. Plus, the death makes me try harder to do them the first time ...

Bug thing: If you use auto-aim with the shielding effect, then your shots are constantly angled upwards (tested with the Plasma Gun in 2.1).
