Multiplayer compatability flags.

Have you considered adding a new multiplayer flag that would reset some of gameplay altering zdoom changes?

Such as respawn delay, sounds, wall collision and precalculated random.

How would your program aid in syncronizing clients?

Is it going to backup and compare the tic commands of both players?

It shouldnt be too difficult to resync the players but I could be wrong. You wont be able to do that with an external app though.

Wow, lots of responses. Hmm... I find it very strange that noone else has run into this problem except for the guy that said he got 10fps on a celeron 800. (sounds like its related) So I guess "infamous" wasnt the best word. Perhaps some screenshots are in order. I currently have access to 2 ...

The infamous ZDoom slowness.

Does anyone know what causes the ultra low zdoom framerates? Alot of different things seem to cause this problem. I have run ZDoom on about 50 different computers in my doom career with various different versions including 1.22, ZDaemon, CSDoom, SkullTag and ZDoom 2.*. About 50% of these machines ...

Zdaemon

Zdoom could never obsolite Zdaemon or skulltag. There is no way Randy will ever fix all the things he has broken in zdoom multiplayer. Zdaemon and skulltag however offer modes of gameplay or options that allow players to play a real game. Ones that follow 10 year old competitive doom multiplayer ...

dumb

Well thats the best way to handle it, the common zdoom devlopment way of doing everything wrong, somehow randy manages to find the worst solution to every problem.

Skins in wadfiles

Why does zdoom reject the map entries in a wadfile that contains skins?
