Re: Weeping Angels
No, no, no! You want it to look innocent at a distance, so that it can blend in with all the real statues that it's hiding amongst.
When you see it right up close to you, as you turn around, that's when it's got its scary face on.

Re: (WIP) The Great War: 1916
Apologies if it's already been suggested, but mud could be useful for re-creating the "atmosphere". Historically, thousands of soldiers on the Western Front drowned in mud. You could have areas of mud that slow the player down. This could force players to choose between, on one hand, higher ground ...

Re: Traspasable polyobj?
WTF is "Traspasable"? Be that as it may, you need to remember, and you've already been told, that polyobjects go from floor to ceiling of the sector they're in. If you can't walk through them, you also can't walk over or under them. As an alternative, consider using a 3D model in GZDoom for the door ...

Re: Dealing with Wall Blood Decals
The first thing you should do is search on the Wiki. A search there for "Decal" brings, surprise, surprise, this page: [wiki]Decal[/wiki] On that page is the text: "Decals do not need to be located in any special position inside the WAD." The next thing you should try is opening up Brutal Doom and ...

Re: Spriting Tutorial - V.2 - Two-Point Perspective Added
Some comments. 1) Sendspace seems to suck. I counted five different links on the final page that said "Download". That's not pleasant. Have you considered hosting with DRD? 2) Some proof-reading comments: P1, para 3: "The understanding of the se fundamentals is paramount for most forms of art ...

Re: +NODYNAMICLIGHT flag
Hmm. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I would have thought that if an object was brightly illuminated by an external source, then any bright spots on it would not contrast so visibly with the rest. For example, if you turn on car's headlights in the day, they're far harder to notice than if you ...

Re: Decorate flag ALERTMONSTERS
Something tells me you would walk into an automobile manufacturer and tell them their engines suck because they don't run on marshmallow creme. As this has no literal meaning, it is only meant to be random abuse. If you are implying that I think ZDoom 'sucks', that's ridiculous. It is not true that ...
