Re: RELEASE: Wolfenstein 3D TC Version 3.1
Blake Stone has a source port, look it up online. Just tried it for the first time. My HD graphics MOSTLY work. Floor and ceiling aren't scaled properly and are tiny, weapon graphics don't load, frames for shooting changed for the Nazis and go to original graphics temporarily, keys don't match the ...

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 3.0) Beta Release!
That sounds really nice. I'll have to give it a spin. :D When I get to my project again I'd love to try adding graphics to it if it feels it's a complete experience and there's improvements. And for all I know the old mod could eventually fail completely like others have. I've been greatly ...

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 3.0) Beta Release!
I'm still using your 2016 version for my HD mod. Does this version support lost levels like that version did? I haven't done it yet but was thinking of doing it. (spear of destiny episodes 2-3 with alternative graphics) I'll assume it still works with the utility that converts vanilla level sets to ...

Re: DooM 1K PBR materials pack for episode one
What Phantombeta is saying is correct. I've run GzDoom in a RAMdrive, many times faster than any SSD since it uses volatile memory (my 32GB of DDR4), and it made not much difference in speed. I also tried many techniques to reduce the size of my PNG's. The GPU would still run out of memory and the ...

Re: DooM 1K PBR materials pack for episode one
At 1440p half my 8GB VRAM is used up running Diablo 2:Resurrected with a bit of DSR added for high resolution rendering. D2:R isn't thought of as being particularly demanding, but any game these days is if you try to make it look really nice. When I was doing my Wolfenstein project I'd run out of ...

Re: Wolf 3D HD -2.0 version released! REMASTER for Wolf 3D TC
I am now noticing my old screenshots are blurred. I am not sure why that is. I can only assume without another response, the last person looked at the screenshots, never downloaded the mod, and didn't see I said the mod is 4k ready. So I'll use this opportunity to state I am now actively working on ...

Re: DeiMWolf
Hey. Props to you. I thought you'd never get this far. I asked for your German Shepard animation over 10 years ago. I had it somewhat done back then but didn't release a version until last year (here on the GzDoom forums), this time completely redone ground up. I'm a graphics guy only so used AFA ...

Re: Wolf 3D HD -2.0 version released! REMASTER for Wolf 3D TC
I'm so used to it I am not sure what you mean. The HUD weapons? The objects? The enemies? Objects are the lowest quality and what I said I'm currently working on to improve. I just need to set aside time for that. I've already improved the weapons but haven't uploaded them yet, as I'm waiting to get ...

Thank you. I appreciate the information you have given. That exit door must have taken some work.

Re: DooM PBR materials pack demo
These are the best HD textures I've ever seen for Doom, BAR NONE. The 3D aspect of it is stunning. The edges are very sharp and well defined. It's hard to say what could be better. You have good gritty doors. It many ways it's better than I can do in photoshop. If you kept up this and did the entire ...

Re: Wolf 3D HD -2.0 version released! REMASTER for Wolf 3D T
Today I spent a short time redoing the weapons. Here's a few screenshots of the handgun and chaingun firing! My first screenshot of the chaingun.... https://i.imgur.com/HR0hZbD.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/FfEfj0Q.jpeg These are a HUGE improvement visually in-game when using them. I was quite pleased to ...

Re: Wolf 3D HD -2.0 version released! REMASTER for Wolf 3D T
https://i.imgur.com/2usS8dv.jpeg There's a link to BJ's face. Took me quite awhile, it's probably the hardest single thing in the entire project and I was greatly disappointed by how the final release turned out. The screenshot has the HUD at 200% so he appears a bit blurred. With a smaller HUD it ...

Re: Wolf 3D HD -2.0 version released! REMASTER for Wolf 3D T
Yesterday I decided to research and update with photoshop to see what was new. Neural AI in photoshop turned out to not do much besides on a few Doom doors I worked on. It made it a BIT sharper. Then I realized I hadn't fully utilized a filter called Unsharp Mask. I learned how to incorporate it ...

Re: Classic weapons sprites 2x upscaled (FINAL VERSION)
Hey, thanks for the link to those upscales. I'd considered doing those games myself at one point, just because I love old shooters. I'll check this out perhaps. I've loaded Duke 3D packs before, they wildly vary and some don't look stock at all but are very high definition. I've never actually ...

Re: Classic weapons sprites 2x upscaled
True, the advantage to upscaling/remastering with the original assets is that it can be done much faster. So when I release something I try to make it "complete" and then all the assets are consistent, unlike a Doom HD style pack that has 20 different author's contributing and looks odd to many ...
