Re: ChatGPT o3 Mini-High (Can it code for DECORATE?)
I completely share what Enjay is talking about. To go in further details as some of you might know I am working as a photographer and graphics designer as a full time job and I can tell you that the so called AI will take more and more space in all of our lifes in the very near future. You can ...

Re: ChatGPT o3 Mini-High (Can it code for DECORATE?)
Give this another 2-3 years and it will be able to deliver perfect code.

[4.12 and onwards] Models with alpha attribute are always rendered completely opaque
Noticed while playing the latest development version of Blade of Agony, that model things with an alpha attribute (e.g. less than 1.0) in UltimateDoomBuilder or set with SetActorProperty(tid, APROP_Alpha, ...) are still rendered completely opaque. The same applies to other renderstyles like additive ...

Re: [Episode 1 v1.3.1] Wolfenstein 3D: Chalice of Glory
Sprites are definitely the better solution, no doubt about it but at least the arrows pointing in the right direction helps to make the mod playable in coop as long as you don't have the sprites

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
TBH, Torm, the Kex engine has never been made with modding in mind as far as I know, it's basically just a framework for remasters. Same basic stuff underpins the ports/remasters of ROTT, Dark Forces, Turoks 1, 2 and 3, Quakes 1 and 2, System Shock, Doom 64, Powerslave/Exhumed, Blood, and God knows ...

You could solve the rotational issue with the same approach that we had for Blade of Agony, AFADoomer could tell you more about it, he implemented this.

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Would you care to elaborate? What issues do you have with the port and the new episode? Just saying 'it sucks' is not really helpful. Compared to GZDoom the port is extremely limited. Sure, it’s a good choice for the masses but I want a more customizable engine. What I noticed in technical concerns ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Not sure referring to the project in such terms was, then, the best angle you could've gone for, but hey. I don’t like Legacy of Rust, tried it and with the packed engine, it’s not worth the money in my eyes. There are better mappacks that would have been more worthy to be added to a an official rel ...

Re: Obligatory Legacy of Rust/ Nightdive Doom Port thread
Tried the port yesterday and I have to say I instantly got my money back. This port is not worth the money, and the additional content is far from the quality of other packs around. I wonder who decided to make Legacy of Rust kinda official and package it with the original games… it’s absolutely not ...
