you theoretically *CAN* do more with it under the right circumstances. And even then, anything you might want to do with either of these would be better left to hardware shaders, it's not difficult at all to write some zscript that can build whatever sort of LUT you might want with the current game ...

Honestly unless people start making things for ID24 who aren't working for/with id then the best thing to do is probably just make a compatibility patch rather than native support for the new features. That's a function added in 4.12.something IIRC, you'll need up update GZDoom to play this mod
