Re: Brütal Doom v0.16 - Cruelty Bonus!

I tested BD with UDoom (ZDoom 2.6.1 and BD 0.16b). I had a bug in E3M3 in the higher corridors: I can’t go where I want, for example I can’t go in the south of the sector #98 (the shotgun shell box) nor in the north-west part of it as if our hero was too tall.

Re: ZDBSP 1.17

Hello, I tried to compile ZDBSP in Linux, but without success. What did I fail? > cmake . -- The C compiler identification is GNU 4.4.7 -- The CXX compiler identification is GNU 4.7.1 -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- Check for working C compiler: /usr/bin/gcc -- works -- Detecting C ...

Re: [Linux] ZDoom 2.2.0 hangs when /dev/dsp is already used

No, actually I won’t because I don’t want to lose my Heretic savegames.
I’ll try it later.

P.S.: I know how to compile ZDoom, but maybe not the svn version.

[Linux] ZDoom 2.2.0 hangs when /dev/dsp is already used

The title says it all.
When I launch it from a xterm, I can’t use CTRL-C, the error message is printed repeatedly.
I must kill ZDoom with -9.
Maybe ZDoom should use another sound output, or at least give the choice?

Re: The official "ZDoom on Linux" thread.

I don't know if anyone had the problem, but I had to manually symlink /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.7 to /usr/lib/libFLAC.so.8 because ZDoom complained that libFLAC.so.7 didn't not exist.
It worked.

[2.1.7] [Heretic] Torches (dis)appear

The torches on the walls appears and disappears, it depends on the angle I see them. I just repeated it in E2M9, for example up in the blue key room. Global view, I can see the first one but not the one on the second pillar. http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/4641/doom0003rs8.th.png Here I can see the ...

For Duke 3D, you could always just compile JFDuke on Linux. For Shadow Warrior, you can likewise use JFSW . Neither currently has sound in Linux without a patch based on a patch I made that ripped the sound code out of icculus's port and adapted it to JFDuke. JonoF has long promised that he is ...

[2.1.4] Strange CPU speed

This is a very minor bug but when I launch ZDoom in a console, I see this (see line 3): adding /usr/local/bin/zdoom.pk3 adding /usr/share/games/doom/doom2.wad (2956 lumps) CPU Speed: ~0.062134 MHz CPU Vendor ID: GenuineIntel Name: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHzn(R) CPU 2.66GHz Family 15, Model 3 ...
