Is there a way to change default settings?

At some point, I plan to release a standalone game with GZDoom. How would I go about changing what the default options are? (for example, texture filtering, sector light mode, control scheme)

Otherwise, if you can hear the sound just fine, it might be that the engine itself is not taking the current player class into account when it attempts to play the sound at the intermission screen and tries to use the default class instead. This could be a bug or undocumented engine behavior. That ...

Update: Your second example worked in an entirely new WAD, but not your first example in the mod I'm working on.

I'm using 4.6.1 as well; copying your initial example verbatim, it still doesn't work.

That doesn't work -- the sound just doesn't play at all now.

It works if I assign herewe to a logical name and then explicitly alias intermission/paststats to that name, but not if I assign it to a player sound.
