Re: Are 4 GB patches safe, and are there alternatives?
4gb patches are quite widely used, especially for games such as New Vegas and Oblivion. If you're downloading from the PCGW, you're likely safe. If you're not sure you trust that source, an alternative is looking on one of those games on the mod nexus, and looking up a mirror of the patch there ...

Re: Monsters Checking For Corpses
I was curious what mod you were referring to, and just found Lost Frontier, is that a separate campaign for Strife or is it a gameplay mod? Because Strife is where I was planning to use it.
(Though this code is probably still good as a modder's resource, thank you!)

Monsters Checking For Corpses
How does the AI prevent monsters from seeing the corpses of friendly monsters? Does it check for the "Corpse" flag? If so, would removing that flag and setting the "Friendly" flag on monsters when they die allow the AI to be alerted when coming across another dead monster? Or is there an easier way ...

Re: MetaDoom v7.1 "Ghost" (UPDATED!!! p127)
What's the possibility of making tracers invisible with a CVAR or something? I can probably patch my copy, but in general it would be nice to have bullet/shot weapons being impossible to visually track outside the point of impact, like a hitscan.

Re: [Release] The D64ifier - Now modular and no longer in beta!
I noticed that this is modular, I'm curious if there's a separate set of textures for Plutonia and TNT, because those are the wads I'd love to see in D64 style the most.

Re: Ashes Afterglow TC - update and sterilized! Pg104
Thanks for the response! Vostyok! I'm sure that you're busy with all your amazing work. Last question regarding this, do you have a vision for the total number of episodes in the Ashes saga? I haven't finished Afterglow yet, to be fair, so I don't know if it ends on a cliffhanger again or a more ...

Re: Ashes Afterglow TC - update and sterilized! Pg104
I apologize if this has been answered, but I noticed that Afterglow used different mapslots than 2063. Is there a plan to merge both mods into a single seamless narrative at some point?

Re: Why use a *nux distro?
I run Linux on a machine from 2012, and GZDoom runs like a charm. I don't know what problems people keep running into. But honestly, it doesn't matter, I'd much rather drop Doom than a *nux, because my entire life of using Windows was constant pain, and now I run into mild annoyances at best. I ...

Dialogue Box position
Somehow I have no idea if this is something that exists in engine or not, or where to look, but is it possible to move the dialogue boxes for Strife's dialogue system around at all engineside? Basically, from a user perspective, I'd like to position both sides of the conversation on the bottom half ...

Zarkov' Goes to the Store's fists. Nothing like the first time you realize that just throwing your arm is more effective than a rocket launcher.

Re: SLADE Discussion - Latest: v3.1.13 (01/Jun/2021)
After a ubuntu update (to 22.04) I can no longer access any of the executables from Slade: zdbsp, acc, and the like. No idea why, it just ignores them completely. They're all still installed in the correct locations, but all my maps are being built without nodes now. Any idea how to bugfix?

Re: What games do you play other than Doom?
I mostly only play games through once or twice, so I have a decent sized list at any given time. High level would be:
Morrowind, Dark Souls, Ultima, Might and Magic, Myst, Age of Empires, Civilization, any immersive sim or metroidvania.

Re: Flankers AI Mod [Updated 12/20/21]
This mod is such a good idea, and also a clear example of why we need so sprinting animations for the Doom roster.

Defend Script
This possibly one of my more oddly-specific requests, and I'd try to do it myself if I really had any idea how zScript worked, but I need (Particularly in zScript) a specific weapon function: As long as you hold down the mouse button, it lowers your camera, reduces your collision box, and reduces ...
