There isnt. It wasnt in Deus Ex either.
I thought about adding it. While fitting a sawed-off shotgun alongside 3 heavy weapons would be nice, I think it would make pistols even worse than they are now without stupid buffs to compensate.

If you try to change the ammo type of a weapon you don't have equipped via the inventory screen, the game will crash. Only loaded core + weapons, but not augmentations if that turns out to be crucial. Good catch, I fixed the issue. ( Remember that weapon and aug mods are intended to be separate. )
