Re: MasterOfDeath
Fuck. MoD was special to me. Of all the friends I've made online, he was one of the longest-running. Whether or not he knew, he shaped my teen years in which we bonded the closest. So many things that started more-or-less just between us have lived on as weird references and/or jokes between other ...

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Damn, good job! I gave it one attempt, got owned, and figured "I guess I can just never do that one."

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
Trying to become more comfortable with the Sekaiju midi composer. For years I've been using Anvil Studio, which gets the job done but I feel like it's held back by certain features missing (though less than were missing 10 years ago :V). This short sample midi started off as an interpretation of ...

Re: eawpats - the soundfont!
I've been toying with the idea of rebuilding the whole thing from the ground up, and then from there doing a more vanilla version, but that is a bit of an undertaking so I'll have to chip at it for a while. I'm glad it's proving useful, however. I've been used to it so long now that I forgot there ...

Mouse sensitivity between renderers
A bit of an oddball question, but I was curious to know if there's any change in the mouse sensitivity or feel between the normal software renderer and any of the non-y-sheared soft/hardware renderers. I ask because normally I play with the software renderer, and I I've tried to get the X and Y ...

Re: "Coming of the Storm" for LZWolf (also on ModDB)
I had a chance to play through this recently. You've definitely done a great job emulating everything from the original release. The robed priests are definitely much more of a threat with their fireballs now, but the flamethrower is more useful as well. The only real complaint I have is that the ...

Re: "Coming of the Storm" for LZWolf (also on ModDB)
This is cool to see. I love Coming of the Storm! This actually inspired me to run through it again on my Win98 machine.
I'll give this a try at some point and see how it compares.

Re: E3M8: Facing The Spider - time signature
Barring the intro, the song is in 4/4. The reason you may be having trouble with the time signature in general is because the game's MUS files don't preserve the tempo information from the original midi file that it was converted from, which leads to basically none of the notes aligning to the grid ...

Re: The Still New What Did You Last Do Thread
I went through an awful depressive episode starting around three weeks ago, and still only feel like I've partially recovered from it. I was hoping changing my meds at that time was going to help me, but instead just caused a lot of suffering. Right now I continually wake up feeling anxious and ...

Re: [Release] Doom 64 for Doom II
How do I access the secret level from Map01? I remember in vanilla Doom 64 it requires you to destroy all the barrels in the level and leg it back to the entrance, but that doesn't seem to do anything in this version of the map. I know the secret exists since I can noclip to it, but I'd rather ...

Re: The New What Did You Last Do Thread
Driving myself crazy that I cannot source these these last few midis , taken Doom 2 Xtreme and its sequel, Doom 2 Xtreme Gold. I've been able to gradually identify all the midis used across both wads, but these last few just seem hopeless thus far. A few of them have a sense of familiarity, but ...
