 The plants use a shader to sway gently in the wind, maybe your GzDoom doesn't work with shaders? No other person experienced this issue, so I assume that might be the case. Nevermind, figured it out! Didn't expect the mod to replace the rocket actor. Added the rocket light definitions to the mod's GLDEFS and now it works as expected - no rocket dyn light with VE on, and rocket lights with it off.
