Re: What’s Happening With UZDoom?

I'm sorry but I can't seem to be able to replicate this issue. I used id1-res and id1-weap with Doom2 like the original file list included (including id1 boots me into Legacy of Rust) in 4.14.3 and can't seem to get this to happen, regardless of whether autoaim is on or off. I suspect an issue this ...

Re: UZDoom 4.14.3

I've been looking forward to this release. I'm still running macOS on an Intel Mac. Will there be no pre-compiled binaries of UZDoom for Intel Macs? The main issue is we don't have any hardware on hand to test ourselves which makes us uncomfortable about advertising it. It's possible it'll be added ...

Re: UZDoom 4.14.3

It's come to our attention that configs are seemingly being corrupted, even between RC2 and 4.14.3. If your game is refusing to boot after transferring your GZDoom config, try using a fresh config instead. We apologize for any inconvenience, we tried to catch most of the bugs but it seems some still ...

Re: UZDoom 4.14.3 Pre-release

Release Candidate 2 is now available. See the main post for changes from RC1. This is a smaller update mainly focused on fixes for Linux, especially regarding importing GZDoom configuration files. We'll be continuing to improve these and are investigating Mac builds for the full release. We'll also ...

Re: UZDoom 4.14.3 Pre-release

Just a heads up, we pushed a minor fix for Linux since some distros were having issues using the AppImage + renamed the file names to be more readable.

First tiny bit of feedback, is it possible to make the version number part of the package filename? "Windows--x86_64.zip" could be anything...
Yeah, I'll add the versioning into the full release.

Re: A Notice About 3rd Party Websites

UZDoom won't have its own independent site, it'll be hosted here at zdoom.org (similar to GZDoom and LZDoom). Any kind of outside site purporting to be for UZDoom isn't to be trusted.

A Notice About 3rd Party Websites

Recently it has come to our attention that, amidst what's happening right now, some people are creating websites claiming to be for Ultimate ZDoom. These are not official websites for UZDoom as UZDoom will be hosted here at zdoom.org with the GitHub repo ( alternative link ) being the only official ...

Re: What’s Happening With UZDoom?

this will be fixed for the 4.14.3 release, but isn't yet in devbuilds, i wouldn't recommend switching away from gzdoom 4.14.2 for regular play until that release I'd figure since I already have a dev build downloaded from GitHub that I might as well use it. I will download a dev build when it ...

Re: What’s Happening With UZDoom?

If you're going straight from 4.14.3 -> 5.0, will the UZDoom 5.0 release incorporate anticipated features in the upcoming GZDoom 4.15 release? It's exciting to see a more useful packet-server mode in the ZDoom upstream that could be adapted to a dedicated server configuration. I'd hate to see this ...

Re: What’s Happening With UZDoom?

the zdoom github org on the other hand, is owned by graf unfortunately, which is why uzdoom is on its own org Kinda. iirc everyone listed is an owner, but most of them don't even work on GZDoom anymore and haven't for a while. The whole situation with it felt really odd so it was probably more ...

There are no plans to affect Raze, but that will ultimately be up to Graf. We will continue to support everything it needs.

Re: What’s Happening With UZDoom?

Graf has been away for a bit due to a lot of real life work so we've been the ones largely spearheading its direction for the past year or so. We can also pull in any changes from GZDoom as needed, but we'd like to set up a more self sustaining model for the future of the project. Ideally it's a ...
