You are correct. I'm considering cutting the scope of the set back even further, so it'll be 3 maps instead of the initially planned 4 or 5.

Yes, update your GZDoom. I neglected to update the zscript version number. I made a quick hotfix to the download so if you try to run it in anything less than 4.8.2 you'll get an unambiguous message that'll tell you to update. Still working on this. 3rd map is coming along nicely, but have also spent a lot of time recently overhauling map 1 and 2 based on some of the feedback from testers.

It'll save your unlocked missions, mechs, weapons and equipment. It will not save your actual mech loadouts. It's only intended to safely port progress between updates which break save games.
