Maybe add some weight to the punches, too. Go take a look at Pillowblaster's Guncaster mod, specifically the 'B.A.D.A.S.S' suit. It'll probably give you a good idea on how to make the punches REALLY look powerful.

I think what this is missing is sound effects and visual effects, effects in general. It's one thing to punch a monster into pieces with a quiet squelch, but it's another to cause a shockwave and watch pieces explode everywhere. Definitely something I can recommend for a mod like this.

I've been meaning to make one, it's just that I don't have a ton of time anymore between doing various tasks around the house and keeping my fiance safe. The man in question would be Lord DoomRater swinging his giant sword or throwing fireballs, but mostly dashing in and swinging his sword like ...

Any suggestions for a mod that focuses more on melee combat, or at least has interesting selective melee combat? Hand-to-hand is preferred, but melee weapons are real nice, too.
