Re: GZDoom 4.6.0 stretches 4:3 game title screens to widescr
Right-click on the image, select "copy image location" (or something to that effect, depending on your browser) and then paste it. That'll give you the direct image link, like so: https://i.imgur.com/i6oXd7U.png To get the imgur tag to work, remove the .png (or .jpg, .gif, whatever it is) extension ...

Re: GZDoom 4.6.0 stretches 4:3 game title screens to widescr
Hey Gez, thanks for your quick reply! I'm not sure whether the image supplied by the mod is in either of those resolutions; I'd expect it to be larger than that. I'm no good at modding myself, so I wouldn't know how to replace the image inside that mod either, I'm afraid. Is there a way to disable ...

GZDoom 4.6.0 stretches 4:3 game title screens to widescreen
Hey guys, does anybody know how to disable the new feature where title screens are stretched to widescreen? [imgur]https://imgur.com/a/fds6QMx[/imgur] This is the ESRGAN upscale for Heretic and it doesn't look right at all :-/ And I can't find the option in the engine's settings. I'm launching ...

GZDoom 4.5.0 renders in-game menus really large
Hey guys! After upgrading to GZDoom 4.5.0 on Linux Mint the other day, I noticed that the menus are rendered really large now. For instance, this one is now cut off by the screen edges: https://pasteboard.co/JAUqkgV.jpg Is there a way to make them a little smaller? I looked all over the settings but ...

GZDoom crashes on Linux Mint 20? Found a workaround!
Hey guys! I installed LM20 on my desktop PC yesterday and found that GZDoom crashes when trying to enter gameplay (the menus work, but after I select a difficulty level and gameplay is supposed to start, GZDoom exits to desktop). Switching the audio codec from FluidSynth to Timidity++ in the audio ...

Re: GZDoom Keyboard Issue
Hey guys! I've been playing co-op with a friend recently who has the exact same issue as the OP. Neither of us has the Steam version of DOOM, we just use the normal IWADs that we've had since the 90s, and a bunch of PWADs. I've never experienced this issue myself on any PC I've owned, and we got it ...

Re: [since FModEX removal] Surround Sound Issues
Is it just that my version of OpenAL is too old, or am I missing another puzzle piece? I see there are some OpenAL-related apps in Software Manager. The front stablizer was added with 1.19, so it is indeed too old. 1.20.1 was release at the end of January, and Debian at least has 1.19.1 in stable ...

Re: [since FModEX removal] Surround Sound Issues
Hey Chris, thanks for your quick reply! I actually stumbled on Kama's bug report yesterday, too, where you mentioned the same front-stabilizer option. I put it into /etc/openal/alsoft.conf, and I also copied that alsoft.conf to ~/.config (it wasn't there on my system). However, sound playback ...

Re: [since FModEX removal] Surround Sound Issues
Hey guys, I'm wondering if any additions or changes have been made to the surround sound implementation since this discussion? I'm playing on 7.1 and I'm getting sound from all speakers except, unless my hearing is way off, the center speaker. I'll keep an ear on this in the future to find out ...

Re: Wolfenstein 3D TC (Version 3.0)
Hey Afadoomer, quick bug report: I tried the latest version of the Wolf3D TC 3.0 on GZDoom 4.3.3 today, on Linux Mint. When the brown shirts shoot, there's no sound. (fwiw, I'm playing in 7.1 surround, though I don't think that has anything to do with it). I'm really excited about your work and am ...

Re: AppImage or Flatpak
Also, just to follow up real quick... I just read through this entire thread and wanted to say thanks to Eonfge for maintaining this flatpak, and for your ambitions to push other id Games source ports to flathub! I, for one, am grateful they're there.

Re: AppImage or Flatpak
Hey guys, speaking of flatpak... I installed the GZDoom flatpak on my Linux Mint 19.3 system today to tinker around with it and it doesn't work very well. Whenever I run it, it asks for my IWADs. It won't look in the folder that I put into the gzdoom.ini. It also won't accept any command line ...
