Unfortunately there isn't a block function but you can automatically delete messages from certain people as such:

I'm personally in favor of the second one because I find that the text is more legible for me in addition to black primarily being the color in the background. I've been waiting for something like this.

You definitely took some time with this tutorial to make it nice, simple to follow and clean... Have you considered making this an all-in-one tutorial with tips for weapon offsets and more? I always seem to have difficulty lining up the muzzle-flash quickly and efficiently in particular.
