So a couple of things, in my opinion, that make a weapon look "doom classic". They are usually brighter, and pretty high contrast. Having done something like what you are talking about, yes we can to an extant, but my experience with AI has been lots of fighting to get it to do what you want it to do. So since I just tried my hand at an Doom classic Unamker here's an attempt at a doom classic dual bladed chainsaw from doom 64.
I'm sure someone's already done a better one, but I haven't seen it.

LOL! Yeah, I was debating on pinky pink vs Spider Mastermind tannish pink, I thought pinky pink would be more colorful. If I had a centered version of the doom eternal unmakyr I could do that to. But I can't seem to find any chroma keyed versions of that

Here it is sans "glow" for its Idle. The only other thing now would be some kind of muzzle flash if you wanted that.

Whoops you are right I made it a bit too big! Here it is now with a "recoil" frame and the bfg in there for comparison unmaker_wide.png I'd have to re add in the darkened frame before the "glow" Also It SHOULD be in the palette its just in true color mode, but it should palettize without any trouble

Thanks. I might start over, but I need to figure out what size he should be, since I kinda wanted him in the hd versions of the wolf sprites. Out of the blue I got a hankering to do some spriting, and I started converting this guy from the Wolfenstein RPG and then realized I had made him too small so gave up. But here he is anyway.
