Nevertheless, the thumbnails are currently on deprecated status, and may be removed in the future when the forum software gets upgraded (which is still on the table). We need to find a new one at any rate.

I have noticed that threads with images have a thumbnail of the main image of the thread, as a preview in the listing of threads in the parent forum; this however, only works for IMG tagged images.

Since the recommended way to put images in the forum is IMGUR tags, is there a way to ensure that they get displayed too? Given the draconian penalties for even the slightest unintentional infraction when posting images with the IMG tag, when one is allowed to, it's rather unfair that IMGUR tags are a second class citizen in this respect
