Ultimately in the grand scheme of things it would be a waste of time to fix an issue like this until the dust has settled anyhow; core parts of the engine are still being torn apart and redone in such a way that even if you got demo support working now, you'd have to repeat the work to get it working again later.

We will need another developer to fix the code to be able to record and play back demos again. In the grand scheme of things there's simply more important things to do and we are only two people.

Like recording a demo with zdoom and gzdoom by using special paremeters such as -record or something like that
