Wrong thread

That said, I don't think anyone is in a rush to add links to releases that are no longer available.

Agreed, though, that they are really shitty.

Just letting those who care know that we added native support for Penthouse Paradise into the engine, so the game's grp file should be detected just like Vacation, Nuclear Winter, DukeDC etc.

Curiously enough, there is a de-porned version of PP in the Steam workshop of WT. Might even be better than the original since those babe sprites were really poorly converted and don't really blend in with the general art style of the game.
Huh, I'm gonna have to check it out later then! Yeah those "real life" porn sprites were pretty bad.

I played it recently and I don't recall any porn per se, just badly paletted and pixelated nudity. The level itself is decent, but kind of pointless as it isn't part of any episodes.

Duke!zone 2 and Duke Xtreme were really shitty I agree.

While the Penthouse had porn, honestly the image quality of the sprites was so bad that it was really bizarre and comical rather than titillating at all. It was the equivalent of porn mods for Skyrim at the time I guess. Also honestly compared to some of the original Duke Nukem levels (like the porn studio) I though it was rather tame in that regard.

Anyways, the level is still in my opinion a banger. For the time of release of course. You can tell the people involved actually cared further than just making a room and dropping a bunch of nude girls on it. There was a rime and flow to the level that made it fairly competent. Also that final fight at the end in the tight pool was pretty harsh if I remember correctly.+

Still I can understand the position of not including it.

Thanks for the response :)

Duke!zone 2 and Duke Xtreme were also advertised as "official" addons and no port is supporting them natively. Other than that Penthouse level, those were also really shitty.

The good thing is, if you place it into a directory where the engine looks and a proper grpinfo record alongside, it will be listed in the startup.
But considering the porn related content I'd rather not add official support for it.

I'm pretty sure it should work out of the box. But you have to load it like a usermap, it's not gonna appear in the game selection box; the .grp extension is not the same thing as an IWAD for Doom games.

I know that Penthouse Paradise often gets shafted because of the porn in it, however the level had some really good design for time and it was released as an official expansion (grp) with the Zoom platform release of Duke Nukem 3D.

So my question is, will we ever get compatibility with Raze?

BTW there seems to be some bugs with with the map, however if anyone wants to try it out they can check the bugfix here ---> https://forums.duke4.net/topic/11612-pe ... ntry358606.

Anyways thanks for the answer in advance and I gotta say Raze is shaping up to be a very nice sourceport! I'm very excited for the future of Raze.
