tuin wad launcher, test it out

TUINWAD v1.6 – Doom mod launcher for Windows
I’ve been messing around with my own Doom launcher for a while and it has now reached version 1.6, so I thought I’d share what it can do.
TUINWAD lets you select a source port, choose your IWAD and build a mod load order by adding WAD and PK3 files. You can move files up and down, remove them again, add extra command-line arguments and save the whole setup as a named profile.
It can scan your PC for IWADs, mods and quite a few known source ports, including UZDoom, GZDoom, DSDA-Doom, Woof, Nugget Doom, Doom Retro, Zandronum and several others. There’s also an optional deeper scan if the normal one doesn’t find what you need.
Another feature is the WAD Library. It can search the public /idgames archive, browse recent uploads, show popular classics, download and extract releases, delete the ZIP afterward and keep track of what you’ve finished. Installed releases can be added to a normal loadout or launched separately.
There’s also a Collect Files option for copying an entire loadout into one folder, which is handy when mods are scattered across Downloads, Documents and random Doom directories.
The launcher gives some basic compatibility information when using different ports, since a GZDoom PK3 obviously isn’t guaranteed to work in Woof or Nugget Doom. It also watches for slow-starting ports so you can’t accidentally launch the same setup several times while waiting.
Version 1.6 is now a single portable Windows EXE. The interface, sounds, help and artwork are all embedded. It will create folders beside the EXE for profiles and downloaded WADs.
You still need to provide your own source port and legal IWADs. Nothing commercial is included.
There may also be a couple of stupid Doom-related Easter eggs hidden in it. :D

You can download it here https://tuintje.itch.io/tuinwad-launcher

I fully understand downloading an exe is scary. But you're welcome to test this launcher , make sure you put this exe in a directory for your own convenience. And try it out if there is any bug or things i can look into it later so we can chance it. More info on the itch.io page

*Small TUINWAD update – v1.6.3
Added a couple of things since the last version:
You can now drag a whole folder onto the launcher and it will add the supported Doom files it finds inside, including files in subfolders.
The WAD Library also has a proper fullscreen mode now. The WAD list is on the left, descriptions stay visible on the right, and it can show up to 60 results on one page.
I also moved the page buttons to the middle in fullscreen mode and made some of the darker disabled buttons easier to read, especially Uninstall.

This is pretty nifty; I'm always on the lookout for alternatives to ZDL and Doomlauncher.

Two feature suggestions: preferences to increase the amount of WADs per page on the WAD browser, and being able to load folders.

I don't know if the launcher supports that or not (I'll leave tuintje to confirm) but it should be easy enough to add if it isn't already there.

Even in ZDL, you can just drag/drop a folder onto the "External files" list and it will load - provided the files inside the folder are set up properly (i.e. same structure as a PK3) and, of course, you can do the same at the command line or by just dragging/dropping directly onto the game exe. So, the game supports it just fine - it's just a question of whether the launcher allows adding a folder as if it was a file.

That's all assuming that I have understood the question correctly.
