Strongly agree.NJ wrote:Hopefully we all are. It's just that some people seem to loose sight of that every now and again. An awful lot of the stuff that has been "said" recently is far too serious/personal/nasty for something that is supposed to be fun.

You've had "status" with me ever since I first played "Twice Risen" many years ago. An awesome mod and one of the handful of early really impressive ones. (When was the first taster released? I'm guessing about 97-98.)Risen wrote:I just found it interesting that being attached to this project instantly gave me a certain status in some groups.

Project Title: Twice Risen Pre-Release v0.1
Date: 1998-04-10
Project Title: Twice Risen Pre-Release v0.2
Date: 1998-12-25
I was never completely happy with the TR pre-releases. They had some nice features, (even a few I had not seen elsewhere before,) but there were so many areas that could have been improved. The first map is simply awful. The whole thing would have been so much better if I could have kept a project team together. (Not to mention probably done by now.)

Same with me. Twice Risen was a real inspiration to me back then... funnily enough some parts of Twice Risen ended up being in Nimrod..Enjay wrote:You've had "status" with me ever since I first played "Twice Risen" many years ago. BTW, I played DM with my friends in TR a few times, and it was really fun. For me that was, they stood no chance against me since I had played the maps before them and knew them much better.

If it wasn't for You being busy on KDIZD and me being an outsider of it, believe me, I'd send You a PM concerning the merge of ours You'd remember from June. Trust me, I'm really forward on it right now for numerous reasons.Risen wrote: The first map is simply awful. Maybe, maybe not. However, that's the map that I picked apart to learn how to do the transparent/bar door trick.Risen wrote:The first map is simply awful.
I think you can still get it from here...Phobus wrote:I've not been inspired by much at all until recently. (I've been under some hell of a rock) I've never even seen Twice Risen, though it sounds very interesting.
