When i discovered Starship Troopers Doom, i want a proper map. There was one, but link was dead, so I made a new one. It's a simple map, you start at the dropship, you get to the fortress, you find out that everyone is dead because the bugs dug in, killed everyone and dragged the red key to their cave. So you have to kill 1000 bugs, get the key and that's it. Easy. I think it can be more fun with some friends (MP ready).
It's designed for the Starship Troopers Doom mod, but it can be used with anything else. I borrowed the textures from ST and included them in the wad, so the visuals remain the same. Tested in UZDoom and GZDoom.
OK, I got there. All bugs destroyed like I was from Buenos Aires (but it took me several lives).
I think it would definitely be much better as a coop experience, much more in keeping with the movie too.
I did find a few bugs stuck to the scenery in the cave section.
I can't believe you missed the opportunity to ask "do you want to know more" in your post though.
I didn't miss the opportunity. I wrote "I'm creating a map that will fit into the Starship Troopers mod. Would you like to know more?" on my YT channel.
