Have any of you released a mod in an an unplayable state?
I recently did (and fixed it) I really feel like shit rn.

Yes.
You push a hotfix very quickly and post a message to try and encourage people to download it again if they already did before, to fix the error.
No need to feel like shit. It happens to the best of us. GZDoom and Raze have had a few "a" and "b" releases because of library fuckery that made the binaries literally unplayable on machines other than my own because it's very difficult to tell how it will behave on a vanilla machine if you have the requisite libraries installed on your system already.
Once the dust settles, people generally do appreciate that you at least care enough about your project to try and fix it into a playable or usable state when you make such accidents, whether they say anything to the effect or not, even if your errors did previously cause them frustration beforehand.
