[Possible New Project] The RPG Engine

Since I've been toying around with this idea... I think if I am really going to do it, I'll need a story line and some kind of world map to play off of. But I can't gaurentee that I really will be starting this as the vehicles concept was isn't done yet and I don't know how much of that I'm gonna do before I post-pone or scrap it. :? So those of you who can throw me a good story line or at least a world map... NOW'S YOUR CHANCE ! :D

I am your go-to man for fluff and world detail of all kinds. I just need to know what you're actaully trying to do, and I'll figure out soemthing to help.

Just look at the "Grand Plan" thread for an example of my work. I'm not sure what you want, so I cannot really be helpful at this point. I can only guess you are working on a random encounter system, perhaps with a turn based attack thing built in. Cool.

the only real reason why I'm looking for sample work, because I'm also clueless as to what to do for a storyline... This engine will be a tad better than just 'a random encounter system with a turn based attacks' deal. It's going to be a good bit more involved etc, but I need something to play off of. As i really dont like mapping something like this without a real purpose. So something short, sweet, and descent is all I ask for.

Okay. I can understand how that might impede your project. I have a basic nugget of a plotline, but it will need some jacuzzi timeto get better 8-)

What kind of map? just a small demonstration map? like a small sort of dungeonish tech map?

Well, I suppose to start off, I'll need a dungeon, but i'll also need a town to go with it. But lets focus on getting the main aspects together first, and the basis of the engine. This project will be a bigger programming project than the shielding system and probably vehicles combined, but the actual programming work will be easy... Conceptually at least. I'm gonna need to program in each individual player attack and combo sequence, along with camera routines etc... It's gonna be a big one.
