I'll probably make it a toggled option. I don't usually use Juggler myself. I'm actually in the middle of completely redoing my entire collection, so when I reintegrate Rapid Fire Redux, I'll slap that in there!
AugustDrake wrote: Wed Nov 05, 2025 3:44 pm oh man, Rapid Fire Redux... I think I might have to adopt that system.

I now have an open beta on the Secreta Lounge DRLA discord of a new standalone Doom Roguelike Traits. Not ready to share but very fun for DRLA players (but it is an open beta - you might want to pop in and grab it). I bring it up because I figured out how to patch XP for a unified XP counter. I made a flag for unified XP mode being on and set up hooks in PerPlayerStats through the XP system to use a unified XP counter. You might want to check it out, I know you had "unified XP" on the docket and it still honors weapon XP so you don't have to pick one or the other! It would need a new HUD though...
Somehow completely missed this previously. Nice job on the retooling!

Went ahead and created a mini-addon for you. You can find the download for it on the first post, under Mini-Addons. It's called "Ultra Crispy RC Lump".
Awesome. Thanks!

I've got a bunch of mod combinations in Delta Touch that use Ultra Crispy and this will definitely come in handy.
No problem! Have fun!

I have an idea for a new upgrade type. Essentially, you hold down the fire button and you slowly deal more damage until you hit the maximum damage cap. Each level, up to 5 levels, adds a 20% cap to the extra damage, up to a total of double damage. I'd call this Rambo cuz it goes well with Bandoliers.

I have something like this on the docket for the future, but I'm currently in the middle of completely rewriting my entire collection, AND I just left for vacation, so it's gonna be a bit before I have any new content to release.

There is currently a bug with the ammo reserve prototype where it will constantly drain my shells and bullets even if I don't have the upgrade active with ModOhFun Extra.

Edit: While I'm still here waiting, I should have mentioned this occurs after beating a singular level and obtaining the default chaingun in a second level. Strange.

That is quite strange! I've rewritten the Ammo Reserves upgrade for the next iteration of this project, but I'll still take a look into this in case it's a deeper problem.

Okay, took a quick look and I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Can you give me some more info? Which weapon exactly was it? What are you Ammo Reserve settings? What other mods are you running? If you're able to get steps to reliably replicate this, that would be awesome.

I used the default settings for Ammo Reserve, I was playing the new D2RE mapset featured in the maps part of the forums, I had CH and CH+ and Legendoom Lite, and I was using Flexihud and Gearbox.

Edit: Doom 2's Chaingun, somehow.

Okay, so it's not an Ammo Reserve issue, or even a GunBonsai issue for that matter. It still happens even with just D2RE and ModOhFun Extra loaded.

I didn't have time to note earlier, even without D2RE, I was having errors with MOFEX. Invalid actors and no starting weapons. Not sure what the issue is offhand.

It'd be really nice if there was an addon that allowed only Bandoliers, Health Boost and Ammo Reserves as player upgrades. I'm liking the elemental upgrades-only one, problem is there isn't a similar addon for player upgrades that keeps it to non-weapon altering stuff.

Would be a simple enough thing to do leveraging the BONSAIRC lump. We're there any other upgrades you'd want? I could whip up a minimod for this once I have a few spare moments.

I was thinking of Ammo Reserves, but for health. Each level allows you to store 5% of your max health and 5% of your overheal health by default but would be changeable. Overheal HP would always be used to heal you first, and as a last resort, Max HP would heal you if you ever go under 100. Yes, these two values are stores separately, and like Ammo Reserves it's have a threshold and the same kind of customization.

Basically, it stores the healing items' values as points to make it much easier to keep track of, if you're just trying to have some fun in a megawad - or a latter level is tougher and you might want to bring more healing there, this would be an excellent upgrade.

Oh, and I'd love a patch for DRLA + HP boost
as DRLA doesn't seem to like the HP boost upgrade for some reason

Sorry, I meant for limiting player upgrades (from when you said "It'd be really nice if there was an addon that allowed only Bandoliers, Health Boost and Ammo Reserves as player upgrades"), however I actually really like that idea, and it might work a bit better then HP Boost. Speaking of which...

HP Boost has proven to be a bit stubborn to get working consistently with some gameplay mods (and don't even get me started about Megasphere issues). I have it rewritten for the next iteration of my mod collection, but I still want to fine tune it, and the rewrite isn't ready for a release yet.
