A_CustomRailgun Offset Problem

Attached is an edited version of the Beam Revenant from Realm 667.
I can't seem to find a good way to make an A_CustomRailgun attack look good; using offsets just offsets the entire beam, not the origin of the beam. Standing still, the attack misses entirely. Are there any ideas as to how to fix this and have it aim directly at the player? This is something that has been bugging me for a while.
