Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

Where is the config file stored?

Post by SamXID »

i want to experiment with my keyboard settings and i am trying to save the one i currently have, along with the one i will be making in order to play different mods with different key binds. Really what i am really after here is the ability to save my current control scheme so i can make different settings for every mod i have.

I know that you can just hit the "save current configuration" and then revert back to it later, but it seems to be a pretty limited feature.

i have been thinking about making multiple config files that i can load when needed, however i can't seem to find the original config file anywhere.

I don't know where, or even what i am supposed to be looking for, since searching for both "config" and "ini" doesn't yield any results. i have looked for it in both the installed folder and in the %appdata% folder, but to no avail. I don't know if i am making any mistakes, since is would seem that the profile file is also missing, and i fear it might be related to a bigger issue.

regardless, thank you for your time. I will be reading all responses, and i appreciate any and all insight on this topic.
