Correct way of hires folder structure

Post by Darkcrafter »

What's the correct folder structure that would put a texture with a same name to a corresponding game name.

For example Doom, Doom2, TNT and Plutonia all have the same named sky textures, e.g. sky1, sky2, sky3 and etc.

If I'd like to create an all doom games hi-res mod what the folder structure would be?

Currently I have them packed like this:

The issues is that it shows only doom/utlimate textures in the other series of the game, like if doom 1 skies were used in doom 2.

What you want is the /filter folder for stuff that should only load in a specific game:

/HiRes - For textures that should load in any game
/filter
--/doom.id
----/HiRes - For textures that should load in all (official) Doom games

For more information about what these folders need to be called, see https://zdoom.org/wiki/Lump_filtering .

Thank you! I really tried googling the zdoom wiki but didn't guess to add "lump" word to it!
