If you can include a wad demonstrating the problem, please do so. Bug reports that include fully-constructed demos have a much better chance of being investigated in a timely manner than those that don't.

I see a bug report here but no comments from the devs

It's related to (or a duplicate of) this report. In general, Vector2/3 and "out" don't work very well together due to the way vectors are implemented.
