Ports Wolfenstein 3D weapons, items and enemies into DOOM. Unlike other Wolf3d mods that add more realism to the mix, I instead opted to keep to the aesthetics of the original in celebration of its 30th birthday. So, no realistic weapons or reloading or any of that kind of stuff here. There is however lots of added content such as special death animations for guards (headshot, weapon-specefic, etc.), additional weapons, enemy rotations where there originally were none (including boss characters) and more.
That's amazing. Since this replaces existing doom assets instead of being intended to work only within its own levels (like other wolf3d-doom mods), this means now there's an infinite supply of levels to play wolf3d! (considering existing map packs and level generators like Obsidian).
Thought I'd show a quick gameplay demo with CeeJay's new mod, plus an "Extra Lives" proof-of-concept that I layered on top of it. The map is from 1994, but was still pretty fun to go through.
i plan on trying to stream this mod over on my Twitch later today if all goes well, and i'm gonna be throwing WolfenDoomed on it as well. which is a little Doom mapset where it's Doom levels made in Wolfenstein style. i do plan to VOD the stream to if all goes well
