I have upscaled monsters for Doom 1, 2 Doom 64, Hexen and Strife.
I made it for myself for personal use.
You may use it for your projects.
Not everything looks good (upscaling is not magic ).
Some monsters are removed from Doom 1 and 2 (zombieman).
From Doom 64 pack are removed Mancubus, Cyberdemon and Arachnotron because those sprites are big with good details and after upscale looks very bad but those three looks nice and not need upscaling .
Sprites are not edited except some Doom 64 monsters because I edited them for my facelift mod.
For upscale I use g_mic plug_in in Gimp with DCCIx2 upscaler. All monsters are upscaled 2x.
Why DCCIx2? Because editing sprites after upscale with DCCI is much easy edited than with other upscalers. Edges are smooth with minimal transparency and sprites looks close with original sprites. Are blurred little but better than distort shapes via other upscalers.
No problems with default games or moded games without other monsters mods. Only strife is problematic and maybe someone help how fix it. Some sprites looks ok but some looks like indexed with incorrect palette but only in game. I try it many times but result is same... I do not know why.

Re: Upscaled monsters Megapack
It isn't working on Strife sprites because the colors are not indexed properly, so color translation won't work.

Is possible fix ? Strife use for one model more color variations. Variations are not in strife wad. In wad is only one sprite model. This one works properly. Variations not.Terraformer9x wrote:It isn't working on Strife sprites because the colors are not indexed properly, so color translation won't work.

It's possible to fix by converting the sprites to Strife's palette in SLADE. Alternatively, you can use an image editor like Photoshop to index an image to a palette.
