Are you going to start a thread or rename this one to reflect the game's new title?

Very nice. Still in keeping with the original intent but so much more polished.

Thinking of creative ways to make the lights interact with solid geometry and create interesting shadow forms is such a fun thing to experience.

Hello. I just beat the demo. It was a really fun experience. I liked the level design and music. Super shotgun is awesome and sounds chunky. The jumping feels nice which is somewhat rare in GZDoom based games. I don't know how original you want the game to be but at the moment it's very much like Quake which is not a bad thing when it comes to gameplay. Maybe a bit too much like Quake if we're talking about aesthetics but I understand it's probably still too early to say anything about that.

Thanks for trying the demo! Yes, the whole "Quake copycat aesthetic" has always bothered me so for Disdain, I am making sure to introduce various things that will give it some originality.

So you have figured out map design in the meantime? (Hope this isn't misunderstood as condescending or arrogant, I am really just curious since you said you had no idea about it when you started this.)
