WARNING: Audacity 3.0 is labelled as Spyware

Well, that's why i prefer the oldest version: Version 2.0

I had the latest version, but after seeing this thread, I deleted version 3.0 and downloaded version 2.0.
I'm pretty sure it's too late for me now, since I had v3.0 for a few weeks, maybe 3 or 2
is version 2.0 going to keep me safe or is it too late for me?.

I just got rid of audacity and downloaded darkaudacity and I'm not gonna lie, darkaudacity actually looks really nice.

Thanks for saying that audacity is spyware, I didn't know at first.
Also, i'm a windows user so does that mean i'm safe from the data collecting?.

This thread was a year old; it may be worth looking up more information about it to see if this is still the current state of affairs for Audacity. Some research is in order.
