Extended map range coordinates

Post by cubebert »

I've been experimenting with making maps and I noticed that GZDoom supported absurdly large maps that go all the way to the boundaries of Ultimate Doom Builder's map limit. All of the other source ports I've tried either render the map incorrectly, or flat out crash the game. However, GZDoom has a limit of 65535 units on all of the axes, which while I don't think would stop any mappers, it would damper any attempts at making absurdly large maps for whatever reason. I've attached my example map that uses the UDMF format to demonstrate the absolute limit of GZDoom's map size limit; it doesn't come with nodes because the map is so large that ZDBSP can't compile them. Is there a chance of GZDoom supporting map sizes larger than 65535 units?
