NQParticle - Quake 1-style particles (modder's resource)
NQParticle
Written by Nash Muhandes
An attempt to replicate the unique scaling properties of Quake's particles.
In Quake, the size of the particles scale up with distance. The farther a particle is, the larger in size they'd become. I did not refer to Quake's source code - this was a completely off-the-cuff approximation, based entirely on observation.
Obviously not accurate to Quake, and I didn't set it out be.
PLEASE NOTE
This is meant as a modder's resource. Do not expect this mod to work flawlessly when combined with other gameplay mods. The expected use case would be for a mod author to take the code provided here and manually integrate it into their mods.

Hey Nash, great mod, but I was wondering if it's maybe possible to increase the particle velocity?
Thanks
Thanks

This looks wonderful.
My only suggestions to add to this would be a radial explosion of particles coming from rockets that are similar to Quake and another one is more niche and would only work on maps with 3d water, but having a trail of particles follow hit scan attacks similar to how it works in Quake 2, but only visible through and under water.

Mr Nash, after hunting around looking for the weapon sway mod you're using in the video it dawns on me that it may be an unreleased mod by you?
A lot of the mods I find only move side to side without any roll, looks nice with the roll.
Thanks.

The statusbar with powerup info and level stats also looks interesting. Can't find where that one came from.
