In season 6, episode 12 of spongebob they are doing an hour long special. At one point they get stuck in the air ducts, and Spongebob announces that he memorized the ducts and makes a pattern on his back. It looks an awful lot like a doom level. I checked some resources and e1m3 and e3m3 are the closest, but nothing is an exact match.
Does anyone recognize this layout, or is it just a weird coincidence?
Spongebob E6M12
Re: Spongebob E6M12
Doesn't look like any official map to me. Too many narrow squiggly tunnels.
I wouldn't rule it out as a vague reference, but it may not be doom, specifically.

Make it and texture all the walls and floors with yellow sponge material.
Bonus points, play a distant echo-y slowed down Spongebob laugh occasionally.

You're not wrong, but that northwest corridor is bent in a way that doesn't work with Wolfenstein's engine, which IIRC only allowed for right angles.

Re: Spongebob E6M12
Given where the corridors are in middle or sides of long walls and they're always winding it's probably more of a Rogue reference...
