Re: RAMP - A community+ project [DOWNLOAD!]
For me, this project has way too many maps with too large a variation in quality, design choice, and execution, some of which are bugged in one or more ways. There's also a lot of room color stuff that I find really ugly personally. I wish you luck and commend you for such a huge undertaking and the participating mappers for their work, but it's not for me I think

Just a quick info...
DavidN is making Ramp a yearly event and also held a Ramp event here in 2022...
Ramp 2022 has just been finished and closed with around 117 maps. This time authors were limited to max 3 map submissions and the timespan was 1 month instead of 2.
My maps for Ramp 2022 are more.... traditional.... than the ones I submitted to last years Ramp.
There will be a Ramp 2023 as well.

Re: RAMP - A community+ project [DOWNLOAD!]
I've finally played through all RAMP 2021 maps. I've started playing on January 12, 2024 and finished on March 1, 2025. A little over a year to play all 200 maps. If RAMP is yearly event and I'm playing only RAMP I will never ran out of maps to play. This is crazy. Massive thank you to Doom community for making it.
I was playing with Smooth Doom and couple of other mods. All worked well for me except for MAP171 where I was unable to beat Rhythm game so I cheated it by making this mod: ACS Tool
I wasn't taking notes but I think two maps had avoidable softlocks: it was possible to fall out of map and not be able to return and it was possible to lock yourself inside of a monster closet without a way to open it from inside. And also one of the maps had a wall without impassible flag so I had to chase escaped monsters in the void.
Some maps were very annoying to beat but that was on me because I wanted to collect all stars. More than once I had to dig into Doom Builder, Doom Wiki and other ways of learning how to open secrets that are hiding last few remaining monsters missing for all kills map completion. People documenting secrets on wiki are saints.
Overall very fun. When I'll build up courage I'll play next RAMP entry.
All maps completed and trophy garden screenshots:
