GZDoom 4.5.0 is great, but the single thing I've found difficult to get used to is the new console background. Especially for Doom2 the default GRNROCK flat feels odd for many levelsets.

I'd ask a native menu option to change the console background directly from GZDoom:

Choose from:
- the current conback flat as it is in 4.5.0.
- the darkened TITLEPIC as it was in 4.4.2.

OT question, but doesn't it pose a risk to use flats from iwads as the console background? It's unlikely but addons might replace them with very different flats.

The easiest way to "fix" it for yourself is autoload a wad/pk3 with a CONBACK graphic in it.

Personally, I think that using the same flat as is used by the game for areas beyond the status bar (etc) was a smart move and I think that it works very well.

Well, I like to see sexy abs of a cyberdemon as a background for the console.
Or somewhat less sexy wads custom titlepic.

This is already in the LZDoom 4.5 beta to be released soon, there are new console backgrounds but not autoloading them you get the stretched titlepic as always.
