Having played a certain "towelket" game i gotta ask - did this monster pack took inspiration from that game or something similar, or is it just your idea in general?
So Angelic Aviary was originally built on the idea "What if heaven invaded hell?". It was originally an idea for a full game, but got scaled back to just the enemies. All the enemies are custom in terms of design, but they are nods to things like Touhou (The Dollmaykr is essentially a mini Alice Margatroid).

Never heard of towelket. Looking it up right now... Interesting

In other news, my next mod "Showtime!!!" is about 50% done, still a ways away. While Angelic Aviary is techniqully finished, it's not dead. I do have 2 rare birds that I want to add along with more polish, voices, death animations and fanservice. I might update the mod before the end of 2023 with the new things that I've added in my spare time.

This has been floating around for some time, but someone made a zandronum compatible version of Angelic Aviary. Most things are intact, however, they are a few glitches/missing features. I haven't tested it much so they are probably other missing features.

-Angels do not have halos
-Option menu is unavailable
-Principality's lightning shield does not function properly.

So I was not planning on updating Angelic Aviary. Then, outta nowhere, Eviternity II was stealth released. Eviternity II changed alot in its code so that all custom monsters that worked in Eviternity I did not transfer over...

Until Now.

Angelic Aviary v1.3: Eviternity edition is finally out.

Major features
-Eviternity II compatibility: Angelic Aviary was originally designed to be played with Eviternity. This version alters the custom Eviternity II monsters into exclusive new Angels. The only enemy not replaced is the final boss
-New Rare bird: Magus Doll: Found in Eviternity II but can spawn in vanilla maps by interesting means. Keep your eyes peeled.
-New Rare bird: An extremely chilly boss. You’ve been warned.
-Added option to prevent Cherubs/Snowballs from crossing invisible walls or escaping from monster closets prematurely. Makes slaughter maps and levels with hundreds of Cherubs less broken. Needed for Eviternity II maps 5, 9, 11, 18, 24, 26.
Enemy specific

Kiss
-Kiss arrows always do a solid 18 damage regardless of armor. Aphrodite’s Kiss arrows do 20 damage.
-Kiss arrows do double damage to other angels. This means Kisses are more likely to win infights against weaker angels such as Dolls, Cherubs, Cardinals, and Snowballs.

Authority
-Authority has a 1/6 chance to throw a red windblade. She will take slightly longer to spam this attack.

Aspect of Iris
-Aspect of Iris bleeds rainbow blood on pain state and death (A feature I’ve wanted since day 1).

Principality
-Added fanservice death to Principality. Enjoy.

Rusalka
-Reduced health from 70 to 50. Meaning that Rusalka are easier to gib (Which can be both good or bad)

Crusader Queen
-Crusader Queen slides on walls rather than coming to a complete stop.
-Crusader Queen can be punished while preparing to charge.
-Nerfed the Crusader Queen’s 2nd form.
-Decreased health from 1000 to 800
-Slightly decreased movement and attack speed
-Crusader Queen’s 2nd form takes splash damage from rockets.

Crucified Seraph
-Crucified Seraphs take less damage from Iris butterflies. Iris butterflies will not put the Seraph into a stun locked phase.
-Crucified Seraph shoots an additional ground fire towards the player when entering her pain state.
-Added additional quake effects to death animations of all Seraphs.

Heretic version
-Dollmaykr has a super rare chance of spawning in place of an iron lich.
-Morph Ovum turns angels to stone rather than chickens.

Miscellaneous
-Decreased size of some of the feathers.
-Simplified some of the option menus.
-Forgotten maiden statues and Seraph eggs are no longer classified as enemies, preventing them from spawning when playing with Corruption cards.
-Minor bug fixes.

I would not have released this, but Eviternity was one of the map packs that originally inspired the mod. This mod does make the base Eviternity II more difficult and I do recommend beating E2 vanilla before attempting it with Angels. Also, be sure to turn on invisible walls in maps 5, 9, 11, 18, 24, and 26. This will probably get another update in a few days if bugs are found.

That's how I knew that you would adapt the Mod to "Eviternity II" anyway!

And remember you said that Monster Randomizers don't get on Cacowards? Honestly, I was a little shocked. They awarded "Rampancy", but not your Bestiary! This is strange... They couldn't award him in 2020, and after the release of Version 2.0 of Doomworld, she was given a Cacoward. But for some reason your Bestiary was ignored! It's a shame! Maybe it's the Anime?

So... I'm not saying that "Rampancy" is a Bad Bestiary (Even one of the Best!)! But you also put a lot of work into your Bestiary! Therefore, do not quit your Job and refine it so that it gets to the Next Cacowards!

It took 30 years, but a monster mod finally got a cacoward. It might not have been Angelic Aviary, but Rampancy is at least a very good monster mod. I'm happy for Yholl and Cherno.

Shouldnt you have a LessAnnoying version of the EliteCherub?
The Less Annoying Cherub voice is the Elite Cherub's voice. I'd like to get more voice samples, but finding and implementing voices is a long and tedious process. Maybe one day.

Been playing through Eviternity One and Two with the mappack and I have to ask

for the new update, when you let the egg hatch after you somehow manage to kill the Great Seraph and encounter the boss there, was she always in the mod or was she a new addition?

ALSO WHY DOES THE PRINCIPALITY REVIVE?! WHY IS SHE REVIVING INTO A NEW ANGEL AND WHY DOES SHE SUMMON MORE CHERUBS WHEN SHE DIES?!

The extra boss Seraph has been in the game for awhile. She's just really hard to find so people don't encounter her too often.

Eviternity II has unique mancubus variant so they're replaced with a Principality who has a 2nd form. She's tough but can be killed. One of the fun things I was able to add with Eviternity II's custom roster.

Huh, neat. Though I'd suggest making those Principality more distinct than their normal counterparts. Gets confusing and hectic to see which ones die and which go to a second form when I shoot them.
